Just say the name, Fleetwood Mac, and anyone between the ages of 30 and 70 will have an immediate image or memory about this band. Fleetwood Mac rose to super stardom after releasing its album, Rumours, in 1977. That album, alone, has sold more than 40 million copies worldwide, making it the 8th highest selling album of all time.
Now, there’s nothing closer to that image or memory than the globally acclaimed band, Rumours. This 4-person troupe will be making a rare live appearance on Mozambique’s Main Stage on Saturday, May 26th. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased here.
Rumours has meticulously put together a show that spares no detail. Recreating the band’s legendary persona, in all its youthful glory from 1975-1987, the Rumours stage show accurately depicts the same musical equipment and costumes with spot-on characterizations and musical performances. Even the highest-level music critics say that what Rumours does on stage is “uncanny.”
Rumours takes you back to a time when music was still an unbridled cultural experience and bands weren’t afraid to put on a show. The band is comprised of Jesika Miller as Stevie Nicks, Rebecca Fishman as Christine McVie, Ned Brower as Mick Fleetwood, Taylor Locke as Lindsey Buckingham and Nic Johns.
Rumours will be on Mozambique’s Main Stage (Shebeen Lounge, 2nd level) on Saturday, May 26th.
